Abstract :

Diarrhoea is widely recognized as a major cause of childhood morbidity and mortality in many developing countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. The objective of this study is to assess the knowledge of causes, management and prevention of diarrhoea among nursing mothers of under-two children in two selected primary health centers in Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo state. A descriptive non-experimental research design was used for the study. One hundred and sixty nursing mothers were selected from the two primary health centers. A structured self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from participants while descriptive statistics of frequencies and percentages were used to analyze the data on the objectives. The study findings revealed that majority (89.4%) of respondents have heard of diarrhoea before, many of them (45%) had it from health centers and (10.6%) from past experience of diarrhoea occurrence. Majority (78.1%) of respondents had knowledge of diarrhoea, having been able to define what diarrhoea is in their own perspective and were able to identify some causes of diarrhoea. Over half (63.8%) of them claimed their index child had diarrhoea out of which less than half (38.8%) of them managed it with ORS. Less than half of them (34.4%) managed the occurrence at home while (25.5%) took their children to health center. In conclusion, mothers had knowledge of diarrhoea, but knowledge translation to prevention action was very poor. It is recommended that, health education of mothers on prevention should be intensified while mass media should assist in disseminating health information on diarrhoea prevention. Government should provide vaccine against rotavirus which should be included in the routine immunization schedule.

Abstract :

Trichomonas vaginalis was investigated by cervicovaginal cytology in pregnant and non-pregnant women receiving care at two public referral hospitals in Goiânia, Goias, Brazil. The frequency of Trichomonas vaginalis infection, the correlation between its presence and a diagnosis of precancerous and indeterminate lesions, and potential inflammatory changes in the vaginal epithelial cells in the presence of the parasite were evaluated.Overall, 359 Papanicolaou smears from 157 pregnant women and 202 non-pregnant women were evaluated.  The principal inflammatory changes associated with the presence of T. vaginalis were registered.A second examiner reevaluated the slides. T. vaginalis infection was found in 46% of the slides, withprecancerous lesionsbeing found in 4.2% of the infected women.  Perinuclear halos were the most common inflammatory change associated with the presence of the parasite.  Adherence of the parasite to the vaginal epithelial cellsand ill-defined cytoplasmic borders were more commonly found in the group of pregnant patients.  The prevalence of T. vaginalis was high in the present study, both in the pregnant and non-pregnant women.  The socioeconomic level of the study population and the examiners’ experience played a particularly relevant role in the results obtained.

Abstract :

This paper presents a novel dual-band annular patch antenna with functional microstrip circuit module to reconfigure the polarized modes of the antenna. The proposed antenna consists of two bonded FR4 print circuit boards and is excited at WLAN band and WiMAX band by this functional circuit module. This module includes two branches of microstrip lines, two PIN diodes and a DC bias circuit. Two PIN diodes are placed on the two microstrip lines. The polarization of the antenna can be simply shifted back and forth between RHCP and LHCP by modifying the modes of PIN diode. Simulation and experimental results have shown a good bandwidth of axial ratio and antenna gain in circularly polarized states.

Abstract :

As a new organizational form of resources integration in the new economic era, modular organization plays a pioneering role for enterprises in achieving great-leap-forward development. Under this circumstance, the researches on modular organization theory are increasingly booming. However, most existing researches just touch upon the surface of modular organization; few studies involve the internal parts of modular organization, especially the internal structure of modular organization. Therefore, based on the characteristics of modular organization and from the angle of traditional organizational theory, this paper starts with the existing research results of modular organization, puts forward the specific method of internal structural design of modular organization, and is committed to researching the internal structure of modular organization to deepen the theory of modular organization and enhance the practical significance of modular organization.

Abstract :

Paper If we are using news  paper every morning we are considered to be in small minority. It may be the news on TV ,Radio or may switch to internet for brief information using Smartphone or tablet there by engaging ourselves in micro learning. Millennial have grown up with devices, they are comfortable with them, and they demand that they deliver in lightning speed. This new rapid demand and rapid delivery, many say, is the major cause of the human attention span decreasing by 4 seconds since 2000 – to an average of 8 seconds, according to a recent Microsoft study.[1]Employees crave is short spurts of learning in bite-sized chunks that they can engage in on their own time. They are not opposed to training and new learning – they just want more control about how and when they do it. Employers need to respond to the truth that technology can meet these employee needs and wants, and that micro-learning will be cheaper, more efficient, and, ultimately, moreeffective.[1]

Abstract :

The description of the developed by us automatic Multichannel Aerosol Spectrometer “Masnik-A” are presented. “Masnik-A” system represents the optical/electronic automatic device for measuring of the concentrations and distributions of the sizes of liquid and solid aerosol particles of natural and artificial origin in laboratory and field conditions. Aerosol Spectrometer “Masnik-A” provides a range of measurement of the sizes of aerosol particles from 0.5 up to 40 mm (on a radius). It has 18 channels of the analyzer (graduations by the sizes) with a memory on the channel no less then 9.105 particles. The limiting value of measuring concentrations (containing in 1 cm3 of the aerosol environment) makes no less 2.104 particles. The instrument has possibility of obtaining the command of handle from external personal computer (PC), and also input of the results of measurements for further automatic processing by a specially developed program.
